Yes, I know that but the video files are non showing up. Trying to discover out if it's a setting in the Sony A7II that I need to set and so Mac Os tin read it.

Re: Video file non found when plugged into iMac

i mentioned it with a usb carte du jour reader, every bit opposed to plugging the camera itself into the computer.

can yous come across any folders on the carte du jour? the actual video files will be on a subdirectory.

You demand to know where on the SD card the videos are stored

Yeah, I know that simply the video files are not showing upwardly. Trying to notice out if information technology's a setting in the Sony A7II that I need to fix then Mac Bone can read information technology.

There's no setting - I shoot video on an A7II, A7 and A6000, and load them with and edit them on a MacBook Pro.

You demand to know where the Sonys shop video. It's not obvious.

If you put your SD card in a Mac, you volition see these folders:

The still shots (jpegs and raw) are in DCIM. If you shoot MP4 video, information technology will be stored in the 100ANV01 folder

Now, if you didn't select MP4 in the menu, your videos will be stored in a single file in the Individual folder

When you click on AVCHD, you will see the individual clips:

You can click on the individual clips, and download them for editing.

Skillful luck!

Mordi, thank you sir! I have been clicking in the DCIM folder the whole time and thought the other folders are just recovery files or sort that Sony creates

Again, thank y'all for helping out!
